The first annual Allanian v 1st XI Cricket match took place on Wednesday 22nd June at Swalwell Cricket Club. The weather cooperated with us, the game went very well and everyone enjoyed themselves - a success all round!
The game was won in the last over by the schools team with a score of Allanians 105 - 1st XI 106.
Many thanks to Barry Hopper for organising the match; our umpires Jenny Wilkes and Alun Barlow and also to Alun for scoring; Joseph Dresser (Year 8) for stepping in at the last minute to play for school; Patrick Laidler (Year 9) for stepping in at last minute to play for Allanians and all the Allanians that came down to watch.
