It was wonderful to welcome back Allanian and political writer Sebastian Payne earlier this afternoon to regale us with tales of his time here at Dame Allan’s and talk to sixth formers and staff about his fascinating career and new book Broken Heartlands.
Now Whitehall Editor for the Financial Times, author and presenter of Payne's Politics podcast, Sebastian attended our Sixth Form back in 2005 – 2007.
Chatting to Dame Allan’s Head of Politics, Robert Oliver, Sebastian said he felt inspired from his very first politics lesson at Dame Allan's Schools some 16 years ago. What a compliment!
