The Swinging Sixties saw further significant site development at the Schools. Early on in the decade, the Schools launched a £15,000 building appeal, which was actively supported by the Old Boys’, Old Girls' and Parents’ Associations.
Successful fundraising resulted in the building of the Boys’ School Sixth Form Centre and music room in the boys’ quad. Building in the Girls’ School saw the creation of a girls' art room above the PE changing rooms and additional Girls’ School Sixth Form room - this sat above what had once been the air raid shelter, but which was by this time a cloakroom with windows overlooking the field. These developments enabled the old girls’ art room to become a much needed physics laboratory.
