We are delighted to say that we are now planning our next Futures Fair at the Schools on Thursday 6th October 2022.  We would like to invite your organisation to take a free stand at this event. Dame Allan’s Schools holds a biennial Futures Fair to showcase employers, further and higher education providers.  Our last Futures Fair was attended by over 100 employers and universities and was open to all students at Dame Allan’s Years 7-13, as well as students from other local schools. During the pandemic we provided students at Dame Allan’s and at other schools with a Virtual Futures Fair. 

We have always received such positive and enthusiastic feedback following our previous Futures Fairs.  Presenters, employers, universities and alumni all contribute to inspiring and informing our students and visiting school students as they make plans for their future. This year there will be a Go Green! focus on eco-friendly careers and sustainability.

We are keen to hear from anyone who would like to volunteer their time to support the Futures Fair.  Among others, we are still looking for representation from the following fields:

Women in Engineering

Electric transport

National Trust /English Heritage

Conservation

Links with languages/MFL

Finance / Banking

Solar energy

Performing Arts

Retail - Green /eco friendly focus

Hospitality
