As the Eighties became the Nineties, the governors developed a 'master plan' for the next phase of school development. Another fundraising appeal was launched in the 1990s with support from the Parents' Association (DASPA) and former pupils.
The new Sports Hall was built on the site of the former ice cream factory at the bottom of the playing fields. Following that, a number of infill rooms were created to make best use of the available space in the main Schools' building and the Boys’ Gymnasium was demolished to make way for a science block. This was opened in 1994 by a former parent, Professor Ian Fells.
